Everything you need to know about our secure, compliant, and convenient remote notary services
What is a remote notary?
Remote online notarization (RON) is a 100% virtual means of signing and sealing US documents. It’s more convenient than in-person services and costs less.
Is RON legal and valid?
Yes! Most states recognize RON. If your state doesn’t, we don’t process your transaction. We also support semi-virtual IPEN and RIN.
How do you ensure my confidential document is secure?
We utilize bank-grade online security. This includes password protection, 2-factor authentication, AI-powered biometrics, and knowledge-based authentication (KBA). We record all sessions and store them with advanced encryption.
Do you offer IPEN and RIN?
Yes! We provide these hybrid services for states that only allow in-person electronic notarization (IPEN) or remote ink-signed notarization (RIN). We also provide RIN for apostilles and consular legalizations.
How long does RON and RIN take?
Onboarding and completing your first signed and stamped document takes about 10 minutes.
Can I notarize documents when out of state?
Yes! Notarize from your home, office, anywhere in the country, or anywhere in the world. If the document to be notarized has to be used in the US, it can be notarized by US Remote Notary.
Can I notarize documents when out of the country?
Yes! American Notarization provides compliant US notary and international RIN from anywhere in the world. No trip to the embassy or consulate is required, and we charge less compared to US embassy fees.
Do you have bilingual notaries?
Yes! We have notaries who can read and speak in 10+ languages including Spanish, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, German, Italian, and more.
What IDs are accepted?
We accept any US government-issued ID, including Passports, Driver’s Licenses, State ID Cards, and Military IDs. We also accept government issued ID cards from over 200 countries.
Do you accept international IDs?
Yes! We can verify and accept government IDs from over 200 countries.
Can I select the state my notary is from?
You can specify your requirements in the beginning of session but you are connected to a remote notary based on notary availability at that time. Our in-house remote notaries are based in Maryland.
Can a witness or multiple signers join the live session?
Yes! All signers must onboard separately but can join the same live session at the same time. There’s no need for everyone to be in the same physical location.
Do you have multi-user business accounts?
Business subscriptions are coming soon!
Yes! We have monthly multi-user business notary packages to meet high-volume business needs.
Do you provide Apostille Authentications and Consular Legalizations?
Yes. We provide remote ink notarizations (RIN) and Apostille, Authentications and Consular Legalizations for international documents.
What documents do you notarize?
We can sign and certify everything from Affidavits to Power of Attorney, Living Trusts, Parental Travel Consent, Bills of Sale, Deeds, Loans, Construction Contracts, and more. Some of the documents are restricted based on individual state laws.
